Hidden sequence reportedly sends Logan and Sabretooth from brutal boss fight to an unexpectedly intense heart-to-heart, immediately reigniting arguments over outside influence on modern games.

Less than 48 hours after Marvel’s Wolverine hit PlayStation 5, players have already moved past finishing the campaign and entered the far more important phase of any major game release: searching every wall, button combination, and suspiciously quiet hallway for evidence that somebody at the studio slipped something weird into the final build.
That search allegedly paid off Tuesday when players began circulating claims that a hidden sequence in Wolverine unlocks what the community has quickly dubbed the “Dominant Bromance Ending” — an alternate Sabretooth encounter in which the two longtime enemies stop trying to tear each other apart just long enough to have a deeply uncomfortable conversation about their feelings.
The supposed sequence is said to require players to lose to Sabretooth three times, equip a specific flannel outfit, stand motionless beside a fireplace for 60 seconds, then press a button combination that no normal human being would ever discover without either a guide or unemployment.
According to players claiming to have triggered it, the normal combat encounter suddenly ends when Sabretooth pins Logan against a wall, leans in, and growls:
“Maybe this was never about hate, runt.”
Logan reportedly responds, “Don’t make this weird.”
It gets weird.
The scene allegedly continues for nearly four minutes as both men discuss abandonment, trust, unresolved rivalry, and why neither one has ever been able to “fully let the other go.”
Within hours, gaming forums had predictably exploded.
“This is what Sweet Baby-style influence does,” wrote one user. “You start with narrative consultation and before you know it Sabretooth is emotionally validating Wolverine between dismemberments.”
There is no verified evidence that Sweet Baby Inc. created or directed such a sequence, and the joke here is the immediate tendency to blame consulting firms whenever players encounter writing they dislike. The actual game was developed by Insomniac Games in collaboration with Marvel Games and Sony Interactive Entertainment.
Still, that has not slowed the speculation.
One YouTuber posted a 37-minute video titled “WOLVERINE HAS FALLEN: THEY GOT TO LOGAN”, despite admitting twelve minutes in that he had not personally unlocked the scene.
Another claimed the sequence proves “consultants have finally defeated masculinity,” while simultaneously uploading three thumbnails featuring shirtless Wolverine.
Players say the alleged scene ends with Sabretooth placing one massive hand on Logan’s shoulder and quietly saying:
“You complete my rage.”
The screen then fades to black.
An achievement pops.

The controversy intensified when another player claimed the hidden sequence includes a branching dialogue option in which Wolverine can select:
- “Get off me.”
- “We’re enemies.”
- “This doesn’t change anything.”
- “Stay.”
Nobody has provided convincing evidence that the fourth option actually exists, though this has not stopped it from becoming the most discussed feature in the game.
Some players are furious.
Others desperately want instructions.
“I bought this for violent Wolverine action,” one player wrote. “That said, if anybody figures out the exact button sequence, DM me immediately. I need to verify this personally.”
A second player responded: “Same. Purely for journalism.”
Sony and Insomniac have not announced any secret Sabretooth romance route, and official descriptions instead emphasize Wolverine’s violent combat, emotionally charged story, mutant conflict, and characters including Sabretooth.
That distinction has had almost no effect online.
By Wednesday morning, players were already searching the game for additional hidden routes, including rumors of a “Cyclops Respect Ending,” a “Deadpool Hot Tub Sequence,” and an alternate Jean Grey cutscene unlocked by completing the entire campaign without once describing Wolverine as “problematic.”
Meanwhile, the original player who claimed to discover the Sabretooth sequence has stopped responding to questions.
His final post simply read:
“I pressed Triangle, Triangle, Circle, L3. What happened next is between me, Logan, and God.”
